This contest will be a Showcase Performance. Each couple will present their choreography from between 2.5 to 4 minutes in length to our audience and judges on Saturday night, March 28, 2009. Registration will be capped at a maximum of ten couples. 10 couples is also the ideal number to run this contest.

ANY RECOGNIZABLE STYLE OF SWING or COMBINATION OF SWING STYLES IS ACCEPTED. The judges will have a diverse dance, competition, teaching and social background.

This contest is a GO! We will take registrations until the final day or until we reach ten couples, whichever comes first. Registration is now open. Please print and fill out the form and waiver below. Please mail your registration fee ($50 per couple) to:

We acknowledge that our participation in the Swing Shakedown Showcase Contest, to be held Saturday night, March 28, 2009 at the Willowbrook Ballroom in conjunction with the 12th Annual Swinger's Ball is completely voluntary and that we release any and all options to hold the promoters of the Swinger's Ball, the owners of the Willowbrook Ballroom or any party associated with the Swinger's Ball or Willowbrook Ballroom responsible or liable for any mishap, slip, drop, break, twist, fracture, loss of limb or life or any other harmful issue, ailment or injury that could result  from our perfomance of our choreographed routine on this night. We agree that we will not initiate or pursue any of the above mentioned (or represenatives of the above mentioned) in any legal proceeding or claim for any financial or criminal restitution. Lastly, we enter this contest at our own risk.
